The Ultimate Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight by Micarja Racing

The Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight by Micarja Racing explores a modern manual 911 with a lightweight philosophy, bespoke body engineering, enhanced performance and coachbuilt craftsmanship.

The philosophy

What if the Carrera T became the ultimate driver’s 911?

The Porsche 911 Carrera T already starts with the right idea: a lighter, more focused 911 with a manual gearbox and a stronger connection between driver and machine. For Micarja Racing, that philosophy creates the perfect foundation.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight represents our vision of the ultimate modern driver’s Porsche. It is not designed to become a louder or more aggressive 911. The goal is to build a more resolved one: wider, sharper, more powerful, more personal and finished with coachbuilt precision.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight remains a Carrera T at heart — but with the stance, performance, interior craftsmanship and detail standard of a bespoke Micarja commission.

Body engineering

Wider, but not louder.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight receives a bespoke widebody package designed around proportion rather than aggression. The front wings are widened by approximately 20 mm, while the rear arches receive approximately 40 mm of additional width.

A modern 911 can easily become too aggressive when widened. This concept takes another route: the car should look like an undiscovered Porsche factory derivative — familiar, but clearly special.

Panel fit is part of the identity of the Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight. The target is a maximum panel gap of 2.5 mm, exceeding typical production tolerances and moving the car into true coachbuilt territory.

Chassis development

Designed for Autobahn stability, mountain roads and real use.

Every Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight is developed around road feel, precision and long-distance usability. The chassis package is designed around controlled confidence rather than uncompromising stiffness.

A car like this must be able to travel long distances, handle high-speed German motorways and remain precise on technical roads. The proposed chassis development includes KW Variant 4 suspension, revised geometry, stronger rubber components, upgraded engine and gearbox mounts, adjustable suspension components where required and final calibration after the car has been fully completed.

This development phase would be handled by specialist partners such as Kaege Automobile, with the final calibration focused on stability, feedback and real-world use.

Area Micarja direction Purpose
Suspension KW V4 coilovers Road comfort, body control and high-speed stability
Geometry Adjustable components front and rear Precise camber, toe and ride-height calibration
Mounts Firmer engine, gearbox and suspension rubbers Sharper response without destroying usability
Braking Large multi-piston system with braided brake lines Repeatable stopping power and improved pedal feel
Wheels Custom lightweight forged wheels Lower unsprung mass and unique Micarja stance
Powertrain

Manual, turbocharged and deliberately mechanical.

Unlike a standard Carrera T, the Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight is engineered to deliver significantly increased performance while retaining its manual transmission character.

The powertrain concept includes larger turbochargers, race headers, high-flow catalysts, upgraded intercooling, optimized intake flow, uprated hoses, a stronger clutch, single-mass flywheel, limited-slip differential and gearbox development with closer ratios in key gears.

Powertrain development would be carried out by experts such as 9FF Engineering, with the final focus placed on drivability, torque control, thermal stability and gearbox feel.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight concept is positioned around 600 hp. The aim is not only maximum output, but a more complete and mechanical driving experience.

“The objective is not to make the Carrera T shout louder. The objective is to make people ask: which Porsche is this?”

Interior

Craftsmanship without theatre.

The interior of the Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight is handcrafted around the owner’s personal specification. Inside, the car follows the same principle as the exterior: special, but not theatrical.

The cabin would be developed as a bespoke commission by Carlex Design, with higher-grade materials, refined stitching, detailed trim work and a specification that supports the driving character of the car.

The aluminium Porsche interior elements remain part of the specification, supported by Micarja-selected materials and finishing details. A dedicated build plaque completes the cabin, documenting the car as a numbered Micarja commission.

Development route

A commission built through specialists, controlled by one vision.

A Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight commission is not a simple parts installation. The sequence matters. The new Carrera T would first move from the Porsche dealer into body and chassis development, followed by powertrain engineering, wheel fitment, interior craftsmanship and final chassis calibration.

For the exhaust system, a titanium solution from Akrapovič would match the premium, lightweight and performance-focused direction of the Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight.

Why not a GT3 or Turbo S?

Because the answer is different.

A GT3 is defined by its naturally aspirated engine and track-born precision. A Turbo S is defined by immense all-wheel-drive performance and everyday speed. The Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight exists between those worlds — but with a manual gearbox, a bespoke specification and a more personal character.

It is not designed to replace Porsche’s factory halo models. It is designed for the client who wants a modern 911 that feels individual, mechanical, usable and rare.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight demonstrates what becomes possible when a modern 911 is developed without compromise. It is about building the 911 Porsche might have made if the Carrera T philosophy had been given a coachbuilt budget.

Commissioning the Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight

The Porsche 911 Carrera T Lightweight by Micarja Racing is presented as a coachbuilt concept and commission study. Each future build would be specified individually around the client, the intended use and the desired level of craftsmanship.
